Overview:

Elmet International is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field & Integration Engineer to lead and expand our Field Engineering and Operations team. This role is ideal for a military veteran with hands-on combat experience, combining technical expertise with operational leadership in dynamic environments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage the Field Engineering team across multiple locations.
2. Plan, execute, and oversee field experiments and system integration in real-world conditions.
3. Conduct and certify live-fire testing of advanced defense systems.
4. Ensure operational readiness and safety during field deployments.
5. Mentor junior engineers and foster professional development within the team.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
7. Travel extensively within Romania and internationally to support field operations.

Required Qualifications:

1. Military Background: Combat experience with deep understanding of military systems and field operations.
2. Education: Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (preferred).
3. Field Expertise: Proven experience in field testing, system integration, or operational deployment (with references).
4. Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage complex projects (with references).
5. Adaptability: Willingness to travel frequently and work independently in diverse environments.
6. Technical Proficiency: Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on experience with system integration.
7. Software Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant tools.
8. Languages: Fluent in English and Romanian (spoken, written, and reading).

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with live-fire testing and certification.
2. Additional language skills (advantage).
3. Driver's license
