Job Description for Electronics Purchasing Expert:
Procurement of electronic components and assemblies for the company’s activities. Working with suppliers and subcontractors – executing contracts, engagements, and managing work processes with subcontractors, as well as supporting internal organizational interfaces. Responsibility for issuing and fulfilling orders, managing backlogs, and supplies according to the needs of projects and internal customers. Carrying out sourcing processes and optimizing the supplier base. Building and managing a work plan with the relevant contractors in accordance with the division's needs and the organization's business strategy.
Main objectives: savings, supplier base management, supplier performance, and more.
- Requirements:
- Relevant academic degree – an advantage.
- Proven experience of 5 years or more in local and global electronic component procurement.
- Proven knowledge and experience in contractual, commercial, and logistical management of subcontractors in the field of electronic manufacturing.
- Introductions to leading suppliers and subcontractors in Israel and around the world.
- Ability to negotiate, source, manage concurrent tasks, and find professional and creative solutions.
- Experience in supporting projects from the development phase to serial production, familiarity with relevant quality requirements, and recognition and understanding of production technologies – an advantage.
- Very high-level Excel, high-level English speaking and writing, and knowledge of ERP systems. Highly motivated, initiative, flexible, innovative, and professional. Willingness to move between company sites and contractor sites.
